KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Marine Operations:
  • Control the vessel operations in compliance with international and local maritime laws and regulations in order ensure the safety and security of the crew and vessel and protection of the Environment.
  • Ensures the safe undocking, navigation, manoeuvring approach and positioning of the vessels from one offshore/port location to another in compliance with maritime standards and company policies.

  • Directly supervises all vessel moves and jacking operations to ensure that all vessel stability criteria are maintained.
  • Monitors all operations potentially impacting seaworthiness of the vessel- ensures all operations are in accordance with Company procedures and maritime regulations.

  • Ensures materials and equipment are properly secured for all sea and weather conditions.
  • Ensures safe helicopter operations are conducted.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Performs general cleaning duties rig as directed, including washing and painting of floors, rails, structures and carries out needle gunning, sandblasting, priming and painting of areas to maintain area of work in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Assists Derrick-man in chemicals mixing activities including basic operation and maintenance of mud hopper to aid the drilling process. Assists on the rig floor in numerous activities as part of his continuing development.
  • Assists in all loading and unloading activities from trucks or barges including transfer of cargo on board the rig such as drill pipe, casing, drilling tools, chemicals, pallets, cargo cages, cargo baskets, oil drums; to be familiar with safe slinging practices, load rating of different sizes of lifting equipment and crane operators signaling methods.
  • Familiarizes himself with general rig safety rules and ensures that equipment and machinery are used in a safe way.
  • Take an active part in GDI STOP program.
  • Use of safety harness and riding belts, man riding.
  • Perform any other similar or related duties such as assisting in rig moves, tying of equipment and stores as assigned by direct supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of 9 years (primary) education
 Minimum Experience:
  • 1 year experience in similar job.

JOB OBJECTIVE: To be the primary focal point in providing or assisting in providing first aid and emergency treatment to Onshore rig employees as well as the subsequent administration of all documents related to employees prior to their evacuation for further treatment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Provide general first aid and medical care to rig based employees in order to ensure the level of medical care meets the company’s standards this includes dealing with cuts and abrasions, making and changing dressings and giving tetanus injections.
  • Provide primary emergency treatment to patients prior to their evacuation to Doha. Includes examining patience by taking temperature and blood pressure readings and may diagnose their ailment.
  • Prepares a preliminary medical report covering symptoms accident details, treatment given (as applicable) and coordinate with the Company Doctor and Occupational Health Advisor
  • Informs or agree with the Occupational Health Advisor/ Company Doctor on the need for patients to be evacuated to Doha for treatment in case of serious illness or bad injury.
  • Informs the Operations Department of emergencies so that the employees are received by an ambulance and seen by a specialist.
  • Liaise with catering contractor's representative on the provision of food and accommodation services on assigned rig.
  • Inspects food preparation and accommodation areas to ensure conformance to established hygiene standards.
  • Works according to established first aid standards and general instructions. Required to act on his own initiative, when dealing with emergency situations where delay could result in death and permanent injury.
 Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.SC. Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma with minimum 4 years study duration
  • Be a registered Nurse in home country.
  • Attend and be in possession of Qatar based certification in conducted by the Hamad International Training Centre
  • Licensed/Eligible to be licensed to practice as NURSE by MOPH-QATAR
  • ILS (Immediate Life Support)
  • ITLS (international Trauma Life Support).
 Minimum Experience:
  • 3 years in continuous service and is currently employed - this shall include emergency care and hospital out-patient department working experience.
