A contract was signed with M/S LANCO / USA (Rig Manufacturer) for a new build onshore rig “GDI-3” witch was shipped to Doha on 14 July 2008 & is expected to reach here end of Aug 2008.

The new GDI-3 specs:

• Model: LTO 750 Service Unit Rig
   
• Draw works: Single Drum 750 HP with 71,500 Ib single pull
• Mast height: 118 ft
• Drill line size: 1-1/18 inch
• Racking Board Capacity 12,400 ft of 5" drill pipe
• Floor height: 17ft
