Gulf Drilling International Q.S.C (“GDI”) has placed an order for two land rigs (GDI-5 and GDI-6) with Lanco Well Services, Inc. (“Lanco”), a rig builder based in Victoria, Texas.

Gulf Drilling International and Qatar Shell recently hosted a Dropped Objects Prevention Scheme (DROPS) forum in Doha. The forum was attended by industry experts from the Middle East region, Qatar Petroleum and various operators and contractors based in Qatar.

Doha, 27 November 2011 - Shell presented Gulf Drilling International (GDI) with a performance award in recognition for the excellent performance on their Al Khor jack-up drilling rig, operating offshore Qatar.

Gulf Drilling International, Ltd (Q.S.C.) (“GDI”) announced that it has purchased from ENSCO Offshore International Company (“Ensco”) the jack-up drilling rig known as “ENSCO-95” on 22nd June.
