GDI signed a 2 years contract with one of the reputed international oil operators in Qatar for the provision of a high-tech offshore jack-up drilling rig.

The work is planned to commence on coming June utilizing GDI’s GULF-3 (AL-WAJBAH) jack up drilling rig.

This coincides with another contract award expected to be received this month for its latest addition and state of the art rig ‘AL-ZUBARAH”.  GDI also expects the work for Al-Zubarah to commence in June 2008.  Once these two offshore jack-up rigs go in operation, this will mark the 100% utilization rate of all GDI Rigs.
