As every year, Gulf Drilling International has issued the company’s 2008 annual report book. Overall, the year 2008 marked a successful year for GDI, highlighted by excellent safety, financial and operational performance, where revenue, net income and profitability improved significantly over 2007 results.
The book highlights the milestone achievements of the company during the past year, which includes the full utilization of our rig fleet, receiving the IMS certification (Integrated Management System), and passing the main assessments required by ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. This demonstrates our full commitment towards quality assurance, health, safety and environment and marks the highest Safety record in GDI’s history.
The 2008 annual reports also details GDI’s plans for future growth, and the major business development initiatives which were undertaken to expand the scope of business to include jack-up work, accommodation barges and well intervention lift boats, in addition to specialized marine service vessels. Also, it gives a holistic picture of the 2008 key highlights in the QHSE, human resources and administration departments.
