Gulf Drilling International stand attracts visitors in Qatar Career Fair 2009

Under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al- Thani, Heir Apparent, the Qatar Career Fair 2009 was held between April 12 - 16, 2009. GDI participated with a big stand representing the company and its services. During the fair, GDI successfully attracted a large number of Qatari nationals and expatriates to its stand. Representatives from GDI explained the company’s achievements, imparted industry knowledge and enlightened all the visitors, which included students and professionals, about the ambitious future plans of GDI. In addition, visitors walked away with exciting gifts which were presented as a token of gratitude for visiting the stand. With this database of potential candidates, GDI is planning to build and enhance the Qatari workforce within the organization.

Qatar Career Fair is an annual event that draws more than 20,000 visitors, interested in exploring work opportunities, be it professionals or fresh graduates. This year, 116 institutions from both public and private sectors participated in the fair which covered various sectors like: energy, industry, communication, insurance, education, media and sports. The event was organized by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science & Community Development, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar University, and the Ministry of Labour.
