GDI Employees Donate Blood

GDI launched a blood donation drive for the blood bank of Hammad Hospital in Doha which was on June 18, 2009 and lasted for 3 hours through the portable blood bank unit.

A total of 40 staff from various departments came forward to support this worthy cause, including the CEO and the senior management staff.

This drive is part of GDI’s social corporate responsibility, and plans to do on an annual basis.

Blood donation has many health advantages for the donor as it enhances the production of new red blood cells and reduces the chance of heart diseases. In addition timely donation might save a lot of lives especially during emergencies.
