The speaker’s presentations focused around the central theme of the conference, adding value to all the attendees.

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
The IIA Qatar was formed in June 2003. It currently has close to 300 Finance/ Audit practitioners representing a cross-section of the private businesses, banking and the public sector from 23 nationalities.  The IIA offers opportunities for internal audit practitioners to share the latest techniques and approaches to internal audit; update their knowledge and become certified as Internal Auditors enabling them to enjoy the benefits of being in a growing profession. In addition, the Chapter is a source of information for executive management and board members of organizations both in the public and private sectors of the Qatari economy, giving them the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of their internal audit departments and assisting the deployment of good corporate governance principles and practices.

Since its inception, the Chapter organized a series of relevant professional meetings which have provided members and guests with the opportunity to exchange ideas and up-to-date "know-how", drawing from the top internal audit professionals in the Gulf region and from around the globe.  We are continually searching for ways to expand both the number as well as the range of subjects to discuss.

The Scientific Accounting Association
The Scientific Accounting Association was established in October 2004 at Qatar University. The Chairman of the Scientific Accounting Association is Dr. Khalid Bin Naser Al-Khater. The membership of the Association is about 350 representing full and associate members in accordance with its regulations. The Board of Directors has the full authority to manage the Association and the Board consists of eight members elected by the general assembly. Half of the eight members should be from the staff of the university which established the Association.

I trust that your esteemed organization will support this event by way of a valuable sponsorship. It is expected to have an attendance of between 180 to 250 top notch professionals and it will be a chosen forum to advertise commercially.
